We firmly believe that our response to spiritual and physical needs takes place in one arena, GLOCALLY. It's a fun word isn't it? Globally AND locally.
It makes very little sense for us to fly over our own neighborhood's needs while on the way to meet needs in far corners of the world. We must serve locally as well. But we also see the benefit of going to the nations, into the field, and the resulting work in our own hearts.
One of our goals is to connect people with opportunities to serve locally. Sometimes it's through a weekly bread donation being brought to our friends at a soup kitchen, feeding the homeless and underserved of our surrounding communities, or it may be a home construction project for a distressed family.
